WeCode Libya 2018 first international expansion

In collaboration with the Libyan Labour and Rehabilitation Ministry, Expertise France and Funded by the European Union, WeCode Land launched WeCode Libya program on March 2018 and hosted 22 students from different Libyan cities to offer them digital training in business skills, It helps them to launch their own projects. The program lasted three months and took place at Esprit. The students get access to different courses such as IT skills, Business skills, Soft skills, Graphic design provided by highly qualified trainers.

WeCode Libya closing Ceremony, June 3rd, 2018

The students were required to start working on their own digital projects and develop their own apps and websites during the training period in order to implement them in their hometown. The projects should have a social impact and digitally oriented.

The program was a combination of theory and practice. It was a mixture of presentations, interactive labs, workshops and project collaboration. Students were highly motivated and disciplined. The working atmosphere was motivating and challenging at the same time.

The closing ceremony took place at Mövenpick Hotel Gammarth Tunis on July, 11 with the presence of the minister of the Libyan Labour and Rehabilitation Ministry and many other important entrepreneurs and media figures. The event was covered by major national media outlets. During the ceremony, each student had to present his project and at the end of the ceremony, they received their certificates of completion.
